Simulation and Verification of Hydraulic Performance and Energy Dissipation Mechanism of Perforated Drip Irrigation Emitters

Drip irrigation has become an application trend of water-saving technology due to its excellent water-use efficiency. However, the energy dissipation form commonly used labyrinth channel is relatively simple, and corresponding mechanism research inadequate. This article proposes a new kind structure drip emitters based on scalariform perforation plates in plant xylem vessels. We establish total 16 sets orthogonal schemes. Using numerical simulation physical experiments, hydraulic performance perforated (PDIE) are studied. The results show that flow index PDIE 0.4665–0.5266. high-pressure zone best, 0.4665–0.5046. As pressure increases, velocity upper increases rapidly, ratio decreases, improves. To further verify mechanism, lower better were obtained through appropriately expanding part inlet boundary. sheds insights for optimizing PDIE. Results reported here provide theoretical basis structural design research.
